Are your products safe for those who have a gluten allergy?Updated 7 months ago

All of our ingredients are certified 100% gluten-free, in addition to being completely vegan.

That said, we have recently moved to a new higher-quality standards facility which is larger and can keep up with the increasing demand for our products. However, since this facility is shared and may process wheat, there is a possible risk of cross-contamination, despite the fact that every surface and product is thoroughly cleaned between productions. We are obligated by law to indicate the possibility of cross-contamination - no matter how small the possibility is, or how high-quality our standards are.

Now, our bags do have a gluten-free icon, which may cause confusion based on the above information. However, we can assure you that our products meet all necessary requirements to be able to use said logo!

In Canada, the regulations around gluten-free labelling are governed by Health Canada's Food and Drug Regulations. According to these regulations, a product can only be labelled as "gluten-free" if it does not contain gluten or other gluten derivatives (such as wheat, barley, rye and oats) and proper controls and testing are in place to limit cross-contamination. As such, the product must not contain more than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten due to cross-contamination during production. This limit is set because levels below 20 ppm are generally considered safe for individuals with celiac disease.

Our products indeed meet these requirements! As mentioned earlier, our ingredients are certified gluten-free. Additionally, we test all finished products for gluten, milk, soy and GMOs. As such, we can confidently confirm that our products have a gluten level before 20 ppm.

We make absolutely sure to provide the highest quality ingredients and best services possible, and we hope this helps ease your mind! If you are still worried regarding your condition, we would advise you to consult with a healthcare professional prior to consuming our products.
